Key donators
Witten/Herdecke University

One of our most important partners is Witten/Herdecke University.
Without its continued support, no PPE Conference would ever have taken place.
We especially would like to thank the faculty of management and economics that we are glad to present as one of our key sponsors for the PPE Conference 2021!
Founded in 1983, the University has been a pioneer among Germany's institutes of higher education from its very beginnings. Witten/Herdecke is currently the academic home of 3200 students in the fields of health, economics, humanities and arts. Its aim towards inspiring students to engage and grow is the ideal foundation upon which initiatives such as the PPE Conference are built.
Wittener Universitätsgesellschaft e. V.
The "Wittener Universitätsgesellschaft e. V." was founded in 1998 upon an inititative of the former mayor of Witten, Klaus Lohmann, and the former president of Witten/Herdecke University, Dr. Konrad Schily.
The WUG has the aim to strengthen the connections between the members of the university and the citizens of the region. Therefore the "Wittener Universitätsgesellschaft e. V." promotes social, economic and cultural projects such as the International
PPE Conference 2021. We are very thankful for the fincancial support!
ISIC
The PPE Institute for Social and Institutional Change (ISIC) was founded in 2020 by department staff of the University Witten/Herdecke PPE program. With their unique background in transdisciplinary studies, ISIC members aim to foster and promote research on topics of social and institutional change. For this years rendition of the PPE conference, we are extremely happy to have ISIC as an official partner and benefactor of our two academic prizes.
INET

The Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) is an US American nonprofit think tank based in New York City, which was founded in the midst of the financial crisis in 2009 and explores new heterodox economic ideas, thriving for a more just and equal society. Among many things, the INET supports the Young Scholars Initiative (YSI), an initiative which encourages young academics and students in engaging with critical economic thinking and offers a broad network of economists and institutions. We are very proud to have once again been appointed funding by the YSI for our project.
